Refund & Return Policy

At UNFINISHED DEGREE, we want you to be fully satisfied with your order. This policy explains your options if you wish to return a product or request a refund.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

In accordance with Articles L221-18 to L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, you have a legal right of withdrawal of 14 calendar days from the day of receipt of your order, without having to justify your decision.

2. How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return:

  1. Email us at contact@unfinisheddegree.com within 14 days of receiving your order.
  2. Include your order number and the reason for the return.
  3. We will respond within 2 business days with the return shipping address and instructions.
  4. Ship the product back to us within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal.

3. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a refund, the returned product must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Unworn, unused, and in the same condition as received.
  • In its original packaging (box, dust bag, tags, accessories).
  • Without any signs of wear, dirt, scratches, or alterations.
  • Returned within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal.

Products that do not meet these conditions will be returned to the customer at their expense and will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are at the customer's expense, unless the return is due to a defect or an error on our part (wrong product, wrong size shipped, manufacturing defect).

We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as we cannot be held responsible for returns lost in transit.

5. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund by email.

If approved, the refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using the same payment method used for the original order. The credit may take a few additional business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.

Refunds include the full price of the product and the original standard shipping costs. Any supplementary costs arising from your choice of a more expensive delivery method are not refundable.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please email us at contact@unfinisheddegree.com within 7 days of delivery, with real photos showing the defect and your order number.

We will offer one of the following solutions, at our discretion and based on stock availability provided that the defective item is returned to us:

  • Free replacement with a new product (if available).
  • Full refund including return shipping costs.
  • Partial refund if the defect is minor and you wish to keep the product.

7. Wrong Size or Wrong Product

If we ship you the wrong size or wrong product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a free return and ship the correct product as soon as possible, subject to availability. If the correct product is not available, a full refund will be issued.

8. Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct size exchanges. If you need a different size, please return the original product following our return process and place a new order for the correct size, subject to availability.

9. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Products that have been worn, used, washed, or altered.
  • Products returned without their original packaging or accessories.
  • Products returned after the 14-day legal withdrawal period.
  • Personalized or custom-made items (excluding the standard preorder process).
  • Gift cards (if applicable).

10. Preorder Cancellations

For preorders, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund at any time before the preorder period closes and the order is sent to the manufacturer. Once the order is sent to production, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies only from the day of receipt of the product, as detailed above.

If production cannot be completed for any reason, a full refund will be processed automatically within 14 days.

11. Legal Warranties

In addition to the right of withdrawal, you benefit from the legal warranties of conformity (2 years) and against hidden defects, as detailed in our Terms of Service.
